The old age home was started in 2005 with the noble intention of providing care and support to more than 90 elderly citizens (male and female from all communities). The ashram offers residential care with full lodging and boarding facilities, along with medical care and nursing services. Since 2005, the trust has come a long way in addressing the needs of elderly and needy people. The challenges faced over the years have become the strength of the trust, inspiring it to continue its good work with dedication and commitment. The trust has also started a second ashram at Village Kalhat, Maval, Pune, located in a lush green, beautiful, serene, and peaceful environment. The ashram provides a homely atmosphere and currently houses 25 elderly residents living in cottages. Observing the increasing need for care among senior citizens in society, the trust has begun the construction of a third old age home in Lonavala. The trust humbly requests everyone to contribute generously towards this humanitarian cause, where more than 100 underprivileged senior citizens will be cared for with dignity and compassion.

History

Sant Baba Moni Saheb Vriddh Anand Aashram was established in 2005 with the noble objective of providing care, shelter, and dignity to elderly citizens who are neglected, abandoned, or lack adequate family support. Guided by the values of compassion, humanity, and selfless service, the Ashram was founded to ensure that senior citizens can spend their later years in a safe, caring, and respectful environment. What began as a modest initiative has grown into a trusted institution dedicated to the welfare of the elderly. Over the years, the Trust has successfully established and operated two old age homes at Akurdi and Kalhat, providing comprehensive residential care to more than 80 senior citizens. The Ashram offers comfortable accommodation, nutritious meals, medical care, nursing assistance, and emotional support, helping residents lead healthy and dignified lives. Recognizing the growing number of needy and distressed senior citizens in society, the Trust has continuously expanded its efforts to meet this increasing demand. With over two decades of dedicated service, Sant Baba Moni Saheb Vriddh Anand Ashram has become a symbol of hope and compassion for elderly individuals from all communities. To further its mission, the Trust is currently constructing a third old age home at Lonavala, which will provide care and shelter to more than 100 underprivileged senior citizens. Supported by donors, well-wishers, and community members, the Ashram remains committed to serving humanity by ensuring that every elderly person receives the care, respect, and dignity they deserve.
